Although we do run minimal ads and will accept non-intrusive third party advertising, GoFraudMe is essentially a volunteer project run by a single person (and several useless rescue cats). It is a 24/7 venture between site maintenance, web dev, investigations, content curation, outreach, social media management, and assisting individuals who believe they have been victims of GoFundMe fraud.
We will never charge readers to access site content, but if you find this resource valuable and would like to support our work, we’re happy to take your money to help keep it going!
Starting a GoFundMe campaign to run this site would be a little too ridiculous even for us, plus it’s pretty unlikely GoFundMe would let that fly for very long. And who wants to give them 5%?? Not me.
You can make a one-time donation via PayPal here. Or a recurring monthly subscription below that gets you absolutely nothing in return except free cat pictures (and, well, keeps the lights on over here so we can keep doing what we do, so you can feel good about that).
Your support covers website costs, cat food for greedy fosters (can’t work if starving cats are eating my brain), and legal fees for any lawsuits we may acquire along the way (you know it’s gonna happen eventually).
If you are a fan but prefer to donate to a non-profit group in our honor instead, we request donations be made to the Humane Rescue Alliance, formerly the Washington Humane Society. Please make your donation in honor of WHS alums Buck and Cash.
You can also help by spreading the word! By sharing the site with friends and family, you are doing your part to educate donors and make personal crowdfunding a safer place.
See these buttons all over the site?
Use them. Well, not those exact buttons, those ones don’t work here. But the other ones.
Lastly, and easily the most important way you can support not only the site but our mission to educate and protect donors, you can keep your pretty little eyes peeled for anything suspicious. Perhaps you have insider knowledge that someone is misrepresenting themselves on GoFundMe. Maybe you came across a fundraiser that just doesn’t look right. Whatever it is, get in touch and we’ll take a look.
Thank you in advance for your ongoing support, we couldn’t do it without you. Who would want to?
